From our heartwood to yours, thank you to everyone who has written, called, posted, and spoken this year in support of saving this special old tree, its friends, wildlife that depend on it, wetlands, and all the surrounding habitat in Sterling Heights, Michigan. These natural features belong to all of us, support all of us. They can even uplift us if the holidays become too stressful. 🙂

Best wishes to you and your families.🎄

phytoncide: chemical compounds that trees emit for defense that have also been clinically proven to be beneficial to human mental and physical health. Phytoncides can lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormones like cortisol, and improve overall mood. They also boost NK-cell activity (cancer fighting cells).
